The Reviews Desk tests skincare tools, apps, at-home test kits, and digital products against the timelines stated in their marketing. A serum gets 30 days minimum, a retinoid gets 90, anti-ageing claims need six months. Apps get installed and used through their intended workflow across at least three sessions. Tests are logged with starting baseline, dated photos under consistent lighting, side effects, and a second-editor review before publication. We disclose every affiliate relationship visibly above the fold and walk away from programmes that demand promotional language we don't agree with. When a product fails — or when a previously-recommended product is reformulated — we update the review inline and credit the reader who flagged it.
